Accommodation in the lighthouse keeper's residence on Hornøya
We can also offer accommodation in the lighthouse keeper's residence at Vardø Lighthouse, with a simple standard and great nature experiences. The tenancy is based on the principle of self-service. The home contains a shared kitchen with electric stove and refrigerator, toilet and shower. Fresh water is scarce on Hornøya, so guests are asked to show restraint in water consumption.
The rooms that are rented out have 2 and 4 beds. There are only mattresses in the beds, but it is possible to rent bed linen.
The price for accommodation in Fyrvåkterboligen on Hornøya is Kr. 600, - pr. days per person. For more information contact us on telephone 90 17 95 85.

The Pomor Museum is located in "Storsjåen" in the center of Vardø. The exhibition is divided into two parts, where the first part is about the Pomors and their everyday life, and the second part deals with the contact between Northern Norway and Northern Russia after the Pomeranian trade declined.

Fish
We live in the middle of the food platter and have everything you need for the trip. Join our local guide on an authentic and unforgettable safari in the Barents Sea, with both king crab and sea fishing.

Birds
Hornøya and the Varangerfjord are one of the most important wintering areas for the Arctic duck species Steller's duck and white-tailed eagle. You'll also find seabirds such as puffins, razorbills, guillemots, kittiwakes, cormorants, kittiwakes, shags and petrels. We take you to the bird mountain on Hornøya to visit the bird paradise.

Electric Bicycle
Explore Varanger by electric bike and experience some of Norway's most beautiful roads. Cycle towards Hamningberg and feel the feeling of cycling to the end of the world. We have 2 bikes available for our guests. We are happy to make recommendations for the trip.

Fishing license - A fishing license is required for inland fishing for persons who are not resident in Finnmark. See Fefo's website for more information.
Fish in the Barents sea -
Vardø has world-class fishing grounds, and fishing has been the livelihood here for thousands of years. The coast has rich stocks of cod, pollock, haddock, halibut, flounder and king crab.
Everyone has the right to fish in the sea with a rod and hand line and with small nets and lines. Tourists are limited to rod and handcuffs. Beware of export restrictions!

Aurora cinema Vardø
Aurora cinema Vardø has been in operation since 2014 on the second floor of the same building as the town hall, library and pool.
On sunday is cinema day, with 2 - 3 showings of the latest films that are also on the program in the rest of the world. The cinema has 210 seats in 10 rows. The hall has modern multimedia facilities.
